June 30 Yunnan Trip Recall Series:civilization of ChineseOne Chinese writer Hu Shi said before,
you just need to look into three stuffs to judge the level of civilization of one country
how they treat their kids, how they treat woman, and how they make use of their leisure time
i just read those words on magzine,which remind me of something interesting to prove him right.
i want to share two small facts while my trip
first, mah-jong is one of main leisure games for Chinese people, espcially popular in the Southwest
i witnessed lots of tea houses in Chengdu, and do some people in Yunnan, playing mah-jong like professionals, they play day and night,while many of them are senior citizens, however, still, young guys play it a lot.
that's what we do most at break.
in contrast, i saw lots of foreigners along the trip reading books while waiting,even they had companies.they were really quiet and gentle,which made me nervous to come up to talk.
another fact happend on my bus. the driver took his wife and his baby girl along. the mum took out the fruit for kid,and after eating, mum throwed the rubbish out of the window naturally at the face of her girl.
that's our Chinese mum behavior education.
while traveling, i think about lots of questions
how could people like them live a better life, i mean, to be civilized?
tourism may take cash here, may bring new tech here, but what about the education?
i did remember the talk with my minority taxi driver,
he told go to school made no sense, no student here went to college, many of them just finished their primary school and went to be a driver or carpenter or sth like that.that's their tradtion and their fate.
with tourism, their life did develope a lot, but that's pretty enough for them.
no ambition, no trouble,just happy living
i have no answer to deal with this mind problems.i just remember another conversation with a friend from Portugal
as we climbing the iceberg in Ming Yong Village, we had seen many garbages around.and finally we got the top, and saw that there were two garbage bins with few garbages inside. So he asked "why all the garbages are full of the places but the garbage bins?" i had no answer left....while he took a picture in curiosity.
We Chinese are constructing our country to catch up with the West, well, so far, 10 yrs construction is equal to western 50 yrs work. We Chinese are really hard work and smart.Indeed, we should be proud of what we have achieved.
however, what is beyond those building with more meaning?
Quality of Citizens Improvement is one of the task that we can not get a shortcut, on the contrary, we should realize it is a long term task that may need more than three generations or more to accomplish. while during this simple self-made trip
i witnessed lots of interesting stuffs that i wanna remember
the first thing i would like to remember is not a easy one...
i remembered...Microsoft owner Bill Gates told once, "Microsoft nowadays is like a business giant tough, still we are close to bankrupt within three months...."
CEO of Baidu.com Mr. Li Yan Hong (my gf's final boss) also claimed, ' We Baidu.com are still a small company, the death to us is no more than 30 days..."
those words inspired me when i heard, coz i never believed those successful company would go to the end someday.
anyway, i had no profound understanding about them until i traveled to Yunnan.
We all are clear about terrain of Yunnan--altiplano with lots of mounts
so along with our trip, we take bus or taxi to our destination across millions of mounts, some of which even are snow mounts.(jokul)
the roads mostly are on the edge of cliffs, and from my eyes distance measuring between our vehicle and the edge of road may be just less than one meter.
WOW!
Scared! ... What if the driver make a small stupid mistake, we all are done!
at that moment, i seem to realize that our hunman being is so close to the death. i guess from the cliff to the bottom, it may take just 30 second to blow up. We are so frail, confronting to death.
while travelling in Li Jiang, I visited the website and got another horrible message that one cross-talk player died of heart attack suddenly. just within three minutes, his chance to survive is gone.
we live everyday with full energy,work hard, raise family, try to make our day a little better.
well,our hope is not always coming to truth as we hoped
confronting to terrible road ahead, i choose to avoid seeing, protend to sleep.i guess that's one choice possible.
however,
in our everyday life,
not everything we fear, we can ignore or try to escape
but how shall we face....i have no exact answer
while i just hope people i love and my friends do take good care of their health condition. especially, i wish my older sister would recover completely and as soon as possible.
maybe now i can partially understand those words from the leaders of Microsoft and Baidu.com
man is frail, life is cruel, be alert
no company can long live, business is competitive, be ready

weather changed from time to time
while mood keeps in good
with my gf, look around this place just a while
many people crowded in downtown
while we stay at a more silent place with nice secenery
we are about to be out again for a better look
...pity that can not upload fotos....

gotta go....for night life....with romance!  June 14 Learning from JAPAN series: It is my fault!i dislike Japanese like most of Chinese do
while maybe it is the best results of history education.
however, refer to bussiness,
there are so many interesting and meaningful stuffs that we can learn from them.
not sure whether because my gf speaks Japanese , or too many bussiness legands appeal to me so much,
anyway, i recently wanna really think about anything we can learn from Japan.
today's lesson is simply but deep.
it is common to see a Japanese apologizing for anything to anyone
this weird behavior seems to be just a custom.
well, on business.
it is a effective behavior with right attitude.
to customers, when he tries to agrue,u should be
saying, it is my fault.
to your boss, when he condemns u,u should be
saying,it is my fault.
simply action, deep expression.
to customers, saying this means u will take care of his complaints and solve his problem.
to boss, that means u will take responsibility for anything u should, and take it all yourself.
putting yourself in a lower place, that will help u to ease the tough situation and avoid the agruement.
and the second, through this way, u will have a nicer circumstance to communicate and easier solutions to come up with.
however,as a country with long etiquette history
we nearly forgot what we were good at
what we had to inherit
nowadays, in our society, people seldom say sorry or apology to anyone when necessary
maybe it is time for us to learn sth back from Japan about etiquette from our history. while today, i learn some new meaning for it
a japanese company takes "question" very serious, but in a different way, when any disaster comes to the business world, in other words to say, the "question" shows up, this company turns happy and passionate, and says: the opportunities are coming to us now, it is time for us to defeat our competitors and win the battles.
now this company has 300 thousand employers while back to 20 Century, it helped Japan to produce the first spaceship.
his name is Mitsubishi .
June 06 Question 6.6 :I would rather be a toy! i think about all day long, about one question:
What if i was a toy in the world.
a toy to most of people, is just for kids, just for fun. that will be all.
i do agree.
but if i was a kind of toy.
i would like to be the one with more meaning.
i think about this question, not because i watch cartoons "Toys" or sth like that, while, i hear a story on business.
a woman found his dad's office had many toys on the desk. she thought weired though, well, maybe to her dad, those were not just toys.
technically, this toy is very interesting with physics.
this toy made with a weighted, rounded base so that it can rock over and then right itself.
and u might know what it is in Chinese now: Chinese tumbler
People compare the "Chinese tumbler" to the man who maintains a firm attitude and independent position.
therefore i wish i could be a Chinese tumbler if i was a toy if this wishing does not come to the fact, still, i should take the spirit of this toy. Like the Ernest Hemingway said in the " Old man and the sea". " man was not born to be beated". i firmly would be a Chinese tumbler on my rest journey ahead. so my friend, what if u were a toy? Laterly, i am thinking about what i will bring with me to Hong Kong.i guess there is one thing for sure, "Friends". for i cannot take any real friends with me, well, i choose to let "Friends" be with me. And after this choice, i figure out another question:
what kind of scenes or lines u loved most in "Friends"? now i pick my favorite line: Monica: The camera adds ten pounds!
